“Since joining DSG five years ago, I have qualified as a chartered accountant and progressed from Senior Associate to Audit Manager. The firm supported my studies by providing time off for college and exam preparation, which made balancing training with full-time work much more manageable. DSG also encouraged me to get involved in establishing the Liverpool Chartered Accountants Student Association (LCASA) committee. This was a fantastic opportunity that led to me becoming its chair and was really rewarding to be a part of!”
“I joined DSG’s payroll team in 2018 and, during my time here, I’ve successfully completed my payroll technical exam. I genuinely enjoy my role, even through challenging periods such as the pandemic, when workloads were particularly demanding. Despite working from home, I always felt supported by the payroll managers and partners, who provided the guidance I needed to continue delivering excellent service to our clients.”
"I started DSG as an Accounts Advisor in 2019 and quickly found my feet. The team were always willing to help, and I never felt hesitant to ask questions. Thanks to their ongoing support, I’ve been able to progress significantly in my career, which was recognised when I received the Apprentice of the Year award from the social mobility charity, Leadership Through Sport & Business (LTSB). With DSG’s progression plan in place, I’ve since advanced to my current role as Senior Accounts Associate.”
“I began my career at DSG as a trainee in the corporate tax department after graduating from Liverpool John Moores University. The firm supported me throughout my professional studies, enabling me to qualify as both ACA and CTA. My managers and the partners were always willing to help me work through areas I found challenging, which boosted my confidence and accelerated my development. Over the past four years (and counting), I’ve advanced from tax trainee to assistant tax manager, with a clear progression plan in place to continue taking my career forward.”
